The Lost Subject is a project I have been working on in my spare time. The character likenesses on the cover are based on myself - David "Stitch" Vandepeer (upper left) my boss at work - David Parish (upper middle) and my co-worker - Scott Turner (upper right). The girl in the middle is based on a character design I created last year simply entitled "Cel". I also got some visual guidance and advice from character artist Ross CastleMay.

The story itself is based on a treatment I wrote 3 years ago which follows the fragmented accounts of a bewildered malnourished young woman who is the subject of an investigation when a corporate drug trial has devastating side effects. I wanted an image which could spell out the story without the treatment (a picture paints 1000 words right?).

The Music for the full version is "Opening the Portal" by Emmett Cooke. Sound effects were taken from prosoundeffects.com. I used Red Giants Trapcode Suite for the portal vortex and debris particles.
